Join retired bat biologists Martha Zettel and Bill O’Neill for a late evening walk to learn about, and hopefully see and hear, some of our local bats. In addition we will watch and listen for any other night creatures we find along the way. We will have displays as well as bat detectors and sound analysis software which will allow us to hear bat echolocation calls and help identify species. Bring a small flashlight, wear closed shoes, and be prepared for mosquitoes and ticks. PLEASE NOTE: bats do not fly in the rain and bat detectors are not waterproof so if it is rainy at all use the rain date, which is Saturday July 27 at 8:15 pm.

Bats fly at dusk so be on time to get the most out of this event.
